CALLING ALL SCHEDULING-INCLINED INDIVIDUALS!

Pacific Riding for Developing Abilities is looking to add a permanent part-time Volunteer Schedule Coordinator to our team!

Pacific Riding for Developing Abilities is the largest not-for-profit therapeutic horseback riding and equestrian facility in BC, housing 14 therapy horses. We are a small staff team of dedicated individuals that are passionate about helping our clients reach their individual therapeutic goals! Due to our small team of staff, PRDA relies heavily on our incredible crew of volunteers! With over 200 volunteer shifts per week, we have created this position, dedicated specifically to scheduling and organizing our small army of volunteers for each week.

What Does a Volunteer Schedule Coordinator Do?

  • All scheduling of PRDA volunteers, including maintenance and distribution of PRDA’s primary weekly schedule, as it fluctuates from day to day throughout the week

  • Maintain all volunteer files and paperwork

  • Volunteer communication, hospitality and assistance

  • Liaison with PRDA staff regarding volunteer needs

  • Assist with volunteer duties supporting PRDA’s therapeutic riding program as needed, including side walking, leading, groom & tack.

  • Other duties as required

What Are We Looking For?

Our ideal candidate will be someone who is calm and kind, and is able to demonstrate effective problem-solving skills while working under pressure. Well-developed Microsoft Office skills (Word; Excel; Outlook; SharePoint; etc.) will be necessary. This position will also require excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating compassion and sensitivity to vulnerable populations. Horse experience is a definite asset due to the nature of the facility and the work that we do.
