Program & Volunteer Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Below are answers to some of the questions we hear most often. When it comes to our program FAQs, we've created a separate list that you might find helpful. Volunteers would like to know what volunteering for PRDA involves.

How Will I Learn What I Need to Know?

Our skilled instructors and staff will happily train you on everything you need to know. Even those with decades of horse experience are amazed by all that goes into making therapeutic riding successful. We have special tack, procedures, safety precautions, and routines we must all follow. And you are never left alone to figure it out (because then one of our 4-legged staff might try to convince you to hand out more treats than they should get!).

What are PRDA’s Hours of Operation?

Our hours of operation may vary from session to session, but our staff is on site:
Monday to Friday: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and
Saturdays: 8:30 am to 4:30pm

We hold classes 6 days a week (Monday to Saturday) except during Summer Session. We are closed on statutory holidays.

Do I Need to Make an Appointment to Visit PRDA?

Yes, please. We would prefer that you give us a call if you would like to have a site visit. This will allow us to arrange for one of our staff members to be available to show you around our facility and to answer any questions you may have.
